Abstract: We present here a study of the Fraunhofer diffraction patterns produced by objects that present fractal features of the Cantor bars type either in amplitude or phase, while the remaining magnitude presents a random distribution. The self-similarity features of the diffraction patterns obtained from these type of mixed objects are compared for different phase values and random modulations.
