Abstract: We study various aspects of the physics of disordered systems by employing a Bose-Einstein condensate with tunable interactions and a quasiperiodic optical lattice. In particular, we characterize the superfluid and insulating phases that appear for weak repulsive interactions and we study the diffusion in the presence of disorder and nonlinearities. Our work gives answer to long-standing questions about the complex interplay of disorder and interactions in bosonic systems, and calls for further investigations.
