Description

The Group activity is focused on research, development and applications of novel laser-based methods for high-performance optical sensing. Most of the devised systems rely on high-finesse optical cavities, such as resonators made by highly-reflective mirrors or plasmonic elements, as well as whispering-gallery-mode resonators made from solid & liquid dielectric media. A great potential towards applications like strain-acoustic measurements, inertial sensing, liquid spectroscopy and biosensing has been shown.
