Abstract: The viral phenomenon of The Dress image, which emerged in 2015, revealed how color perception varies significantly among individuals. This study investigates the perceptual differences of individuals with various types of color vision deficiencies when observing The Dress. Utilizing both qualitative surveys and quantitative colorimetric analyses, we explore how anomalous trichromats and dichromats perceive the ambiguous colors of the dress compared to individuals with typical vision. Our findings highlight the role of color vision physiology in perceptual disagreements, stimulating to improve the research in this topic.
