Abstract: The positioning of guiding filters in a fiber-optic transmission system with periodic dispersion compensation is optimized. It is shown that stabilization of pulse energy fluctuation and interaction reduction for adjacent pulses that propagate in the same channel is achieved whenever the filters are placed at optimal points within the map.
